WEREWOLF NIGHTS - PARTICIPANT TERMS (SCOTLAND)Organiser: PERSIK LTD ("we").
Venue: the bar / hired space / office / hosting venue where the event runs. "Venue" in these Terms covers all such locations.By taking a seat at the table, you agree to these Terms. If you have any concerns, speak to the host before play starts.1. What this isQuiet, seated tabletop entertainment with a host: Werewolf / Mafia style and similar social deduction formats (hidden roles, day and night phases, discussion and voting).Everyone remains seated during the game.Masks are used only at the table, with eyes covered during "night" phases. There is no running, no walking around with covered eyes, no physical tasks. No hazardous or amplified equipment is used.2. Who does what (Roles)The Venue leads on premises safety (stairs, floors, lighting), fire and other evacuations, security arrangements, alcohol service and age checks. The Organiser runs the game format, rules, roles and timings. We do not perform security or first aid and do not physically intervene in incidents. The host (who may be a fellow participant) moderates the game, keeps time and helps with rules. The host is not security staff and does not replace Venue duties.3. Age and 18+ policyEvents are for adults 18+ only.No one under 18 may take part in the game.If the Venue permits under 18s on the premises for other reasons, they must stay away from the game table and remain at all times under the sole care and supervision of the responsible adult who brought them.We do not provide childcare, supervision or any regulated activity with children. If we reasonably believe someone is under 18, we or the Venue may refuse their participation or ask them to move away from the play area.4. Conduct, de escalation and removalThe game is about suspicion and argument in character, but not about hostility between real people. You agree to:attack and defend game roles and in game choices, not real world personal traits, avoid shouting, insults, threats and intimidating body language, follow the host's calls on speaking order, time limits and when to move to voting.Zero tolerance for:harassment, hate speech, physical contact without consent, threats, or behaviour that creates fear or a hostile atmosphere, obvious intoxication that makes play unsafe or unpleasant for others. If tensions rise, the host may:call a pause and remind everyone of the conduct rules, ask specific players to tone down or step back from discussion, end the game early for one or more players. The Venue may remove anyone from the play area or Venue for breaches of these standards or for obvious intoxication. No refunds of food, drinks or any game fee are due in such cases. We and the Venue also reserve the right to refuse your participation in future events where we reasonably believe your past behaviour created a hostile or unsafe atmosphere. We are not required to give detailed reasons for refusal or removal, especially where behaviour affects other guests or staff.5. Content and emotional safetyThis is fictional social deduction, not therapy or counselling.Themes include lying, accusation, voting against other players and "killing" characters in a story. If you know that such themes cause you strong distress, we recommend you do not participate. You may leave the game at any time if you feel uncomfortable; please tell the host so the table can be reorganised.Personal attacks based on appearance, gender, nationality, religion, disability or other real world traits are strictly forbidden.6. Smoking and vapingSmoking or vaping during the game in the play area is not allowed.Anyone who smokes or vapes in the play area during the game may be asked to leave immediately and may only return on a future night if the rule is respected.7. Where under 18s are on the premises with a responsible adult, we will only feature them if that adult clearly agrees.Venue CCTV may also operate under the Venue's own policies. Separately, a fixed angle safety view of the play area (normally video only) may operate for safety and dispute resolution.
